Cheaters will always leave a clue. There will always be some way of following their electronic trail that leads to deception.
These ways I listed below are easy to use or do. Most require no money, some very little. The best part is that they do not require you to be tech savvy.
My top 10 ways to catch them cheating using technology as your ally.
1. Their cellphone. They won't always remember to delete a call or text. Check the secret phone list. Look for apps they may have forgotten to close. If you have a shared account try accessing your account online to see which numbers they called and received. By the way, blocked numbers to and from will appear on the account like any other. So if they *67 someone you'll still see the number. You can also set it up to see texts on your bill. In case you're wondering, if someone on your contact list ever *67 calls you that will show up (look at bottom of recent calls or under their contact number). If you hook their phone up to your laptop you can upload their photos, including ones that have been deleted in the last 30 days. Go under pictures to albums and you may find deleted pictures there. They are stored for 30 days unless they delete the deleted file. As you can see, a wealth of information to be found on the phone and that's just the easy stuff on an iphone. If he has an android the sim card can be removed to upload pictures that way. Did you know that you can respond to a text he receives on his phone while it is passcode protected? And it's simple.
2. Their computer. The easy way is to check the history. Obviously people who are good with computers can check deleted history and hack into accounts to find information, but I don't know how. Check tabs that may have been left open or bookmarks that may have been saved accidentally.
3. Their ipad (tablet, but that's not as rewarding). Check for apps that have not been closed, history, apps that will open when you click on the icon (such as facetime-you can see numbers they've called unless they've deleted them) or maps (for possible directions on where they went), slide the notification bar down from the top for just that, notifications. Some people will put their email address in allowing them faster access to their mail without a password needed (this is how I found out about a secret facebook account).
4. Icloud. If you 2 share an account you can go into your cloud account and see saved images and contact info on each device that is linked to that account.
5. Apps. Again this works if you 2 share an account. Look up purchased and then put -not on this phone. It will give you a list of everything that has been downloaded. If it's not on your phone than it is on his. Check for anything suspicious, such as social apps like hangouts or path. There are also picture apps that will allow you to secretly send pictures. There are a ton of special apps out there that are specifically for hiding texts, calls, numbers and pictures so familiarize yourself with them.
6. Spy pens (or other audio recording device.) These can be purchased easily online, but be sure to read the description. What to look for? No beeps and no flashing lights while working. Buy one with a long battery life and good data storage (mine will record for 17 hours). It looks and works like a regular ballpoint pen but it records audio. Once you've recorded you can listen directly from the pen itself with ear buds or you can upload the recording to your computer to save. Flashdrives, calculators, watches, outlet plates and clocks, what do they have in common? They are just a few of the covert listening devices you can buy. I chose pen because we have a ton of them in our office so it blends right in. When I'm ready I simply slip it in my purse and go "grocery shopping" and listen to the recording.
7. Spyware (on their phone or ipad). There are many services out there to buy that you can install on a phone. You need access to the phone to install it. Prices vary but the services are roughly the same. Turn it on and you can locate where the phone is, know what numbers were called and received, text messages sent and received, photos taken, emails sent and received and passwords typed. This is exactly why you should never let anyone use your phone. It's also illegal to put it on someone's phone with out their consent, so I'm not telling you to do this, just letting you know it's out there.
8. Keylogger. This is software that can be downloaded on a computer. It works like spyware. It logs every keystorke, revealing passwords, IM's and emails. It also can be set to take screen shots at specified time intervals which is especially useful if someone is on skype or some other type of live video chatting. There are many brands for this software. It's usually offered in the context of keeping on eye on your children while they are online, but we all know that it gets used for spying on spouses.
9. Spy camera. Like the audio device it comes in many forms, from looking like a mini camera to the covert hidden in an everyday item camera. These range in prices and can be purchased easily online. You have 2 options: the camera that transmits a signal or the camera that doesn't. There are radio frequency detectors that can pick up a signal on a camera that transmits, so choose wisely. Know what you need.
10. Iretrieve stick. This device will retrieve lots of data from an iphone or ipad even if it has been deleted. You need to install software on your computer (as of right now it is not available for linux), plug the drive into your computer along with the iphone or ipad and you can retrieve texts, emails, phone calls and images. It won't work if the phone is pass code protected and it doesn't work on androids.
There are other other tech ways to catch them cheating, but I'll save those for a future posts.
Good luck.
Remember, you are deserving of respect, love and faithfulness.
